Director’s BiographyNICK HIGGINSBorn 1971, Glasgow. Nick, when not travelling, has spent most of his adult life in academia. He has published widely, teaches at Glasgow University, and his book on the Zapatista rebellion in southern Mexico will be published in the summer of 2004. In 2001 Nick took his first steps into the world of documentary filmmaking. His first film One Man -One Woman told the story of two peace activists who sought to close down Faslane nuclear base by giving birth to their child at the gates of the nuclear installation. It has been shown in cinemas throughout Scotland. In 2001 he was accepted onto the EURODOC programme for European co-production in creative documentaries. His feature length project on an Indian massacre in southern Mexico currently has support from Finnish and French television.
